Dining

Each evening our guests come down to the library and stroll the garden during a social cocktail hour beginning at 6:30pm. Dinner is served promptly at 7:30pm. Guests are free to join a lively table with other guests, or they may select a romantic table for two.

Our chef prepares flavourful preparations of seafood from local fisheries in the Bay of Fundy, and whole foods and produce from our own organic garden and local providers. When confirming a reservation, we ask our guests to advise us in advance of food allergies or special requests. That way chef can make the necessary adjustments to his menu. Last minute requests are difficult for us since we are in a remote part of the world.

Evening dinner parties and full breakfasts are included in our half board meal plan. Alcohol and wines are not included. Picnic lunches, afternoon teas, cheese plates and other food service requests are available at additional charge.

Rates are subject to 13% mandatory Canadian tax. Gratuities to service staff are at the discretion of our guests

Check-out by 11:00 a.m.

Because of our small size early arrivals are difficult for us. Please call in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Minimum Stays

Two nights from July 1 till September 15

One night stays are available on a limited basis depending on space availability

Children's Policy and Programs

Families are always welcome at Kingsbrae Arms. Children 12 and older can be accommodated in any of our rooms, suites, and wings. Younger families are most comfortable with the greater space and flexibility of our family wing.

Dinners are special events and the essence of a Kingsbrae Arms experience. The peace and serenity promised our guests is paramount. Our dining room welcomes children old enough to enjoy these set-menu dinner events. Please note that our small kitchen devotes all of its resources to these dinners, and is unable to offer alternative children’s menus. Many parents visiting us take their younger children to town in the afternoon where local restaurants cater to kids. Then we arrange for one of our experienced babysitters to take over during dinner, so parents can relax and enjoy a night off.

Pre-Payment

A deposit of 50% confirms a reservation
(minimum deposit: one night stay).

Cancellations

Because of our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. Therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. We ask that all guests be sure of travel plans before booking.

Policy: Notice of forty-five days for stays during July through October; thirty days at all other times will result in full refund of pre-payment less one hundred dollars administrative fee per room. With less notice of a cancellation, pre-payments cannot be refunded regardless of reason—including personal or family health, weather, or business—for late arrival, non-arrival or early departure. To prevent loss of monies, we suggest travel and cancellation insurance coverage.

Use of the Property

To ensure privacy and calm, the house and surrounding grounds are reserved exclusively for our registered inn and dinner guests. Dogs are permitted in designated dog-friendly rooms only.
